as a university student, i had heard a lot on plagiarism. so what is it about? basically plagiarism is the idea of stealing others people's written work. retrieved from dictionary.reference.com,plagiarism is an act of using or closely imitating the language and thoughts of another author without authorization and the representation of that author's work as one' own, as by not crediting the original author.
so have i practices plagiarism before? yes! i admit the fact that i've practices plagiarism before but it is before i know the actual meaning of plagiarism. to be truth plagiarism started when i was not even a university student. recalling my memories back then, when my teacher from primary school asked to do homework, i would looked into the textbook and copied the answers from there without knowing it is actually an act of plagiarism. oh yeah what would a primary school student know about plagiarism right? hehe.
for university students, mostly we would practices plagiarism to ease our way in doing assignment and project papers. plagiarism; (copy and paste) other people's work and idea help university students in completing their task faster and easily. practicing plagiarism eventually can bring bad effects if you get caught. lecturers might deduct your marks and can cause you having a really low marks for your carry marks and to a certain extend you might get suspended from sitting an examination as well. so people,remember that plagiarism is illegal and please learn how to avoid it. thank you :)
